About Me

Picture

Rylee Matechak, MSW, LCSWA

Hi!  It is great to meet you. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate (#P020540) practicing under the supervision of Dakia Davis, MSW, LCSW (#C012838).  I am a LGBTQIA+ affirming provider with experience working with clients of a variety of backgrounds and I am committed to anti-oppressive and anti-racist work.
I got both my Bachelor's and Master's degree from NC State University (Go Pack!), and have spent the past few years working with people of all backgrounds and in different settings, including bereavement work, in-home individual and family therapy, and the partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient levels of care.

There are a lot of buzzwords in therapy—CBT, DBT, ACT—and it can feel overwhelming trying to decipher what it all means.  In sessions, I'll always explain exactly what we're doing and why.  My approach pulls from a few different styles based on what fits you best.  If you're curious about what working together might look like, I'd love to chat!
