I got both my Bachelor's and Master's degree from NC State University (Go Pack!), and have spent the past few years working with people of all backgrounds and in different settings, including bereavement work, in-home individual and family therapy, and the partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient levels of care.
There are a lot of buzzwords in therapy—CBT, DBT, ACT—and it can feel overwhelming trying to decipher what it all means. In sessions, I'll always explain exactly what we're doing and why.
